Workforce/Affordable Housing Citizens' Advisory Committee
The Workforce/Affordable Housing Citizens' Advisory Committee was established by Resolution 04-05-28 and adopted by the Village Council on May 27, 2004. Subsequently, on April 9, 2015 through the adoption of Resolution 15-04-25, the committee title was changed to Achievable Housing Citizens' Advisory Committee in order to positively associate and encompass the goals and purposes of workforce and affordable housing.

Auditor Selection Committee
In accordance with Section 218.39, Florida Statutes, Florida local governments are required to engage the services of an independent auditor to perform annual financial audits. Terms of the engagements are usually for five-year periods, and the legislative body may opt to continue with the same auditor at the end of the engagement term or bid the services. Section 218.391, Florida Statutes, the auditor selection law, requires that whenever a Florida local government chooses to go through a bid process to select an auditor for the required annual financial audit and preparation of annual financial statements, the governing body must form an Auditor Selection Committee to assist the governing body in its selection. One member of the legislative body must serve as the chairperson of the Committee.

Historic Preservation Commission
On February 7, 2002 the Village Council adopted Ordinance 02-14, which established Division 7. - "Historic and Archaeological Sites" of Article VII of the Village Code.

Local Planning Agency (LPA)
Effective February 2020, the LPA agenda will be posted on the website without the tabs/backup materials. This is part of the Village’s overall effort to make the Village website compliant with ADA accessibility standards.

Land Acquisition Advisory Committee
In 1999, a Land Acquisition Advisory Committee was established to make reports and recommendations to the Village Council concerning the identification and prioritization of land acquisitions.

Near Shore Water Regulation Committee
The Near Shore Water Regulation Citizens' Advisory Committee was established by Resolution 01-02-04 and adopted by the Village Council on February 8, 2001. The creation of the committee was prompted when the Florida Legislature passed House Bill 1007.

Parks & Recreation Committee
The Parks and Recreation Citizens' Advisory Committee was established by Resolution 00-06-13 and adopted by the Village Council on June 8, 2000.

Youth Council
The Islamorada Youth Council was established by Resolution 13-10-81 and adopted by the Village Council on October 23, 2013.
