Founders Park Rules

General Park Rules:

  1. ZERO TOLERANCE for Alcohol. Founders Park is a family-friendly establishment. Violators will be asked to leave the park. No refunds will be given.
  2. No glass containers.
  3. No smoking.
  4. No dogs allowed on the Beach, Playground or Picnic Areas, Soccer Fields, or Pool Area. Dogs allowed in other areas of the park as long as they are leashed. Must pick up animal waste.
  5. No tethering of animals or leaving animals unattended.
  6. No overnight parking or camping.
  7. No overnight RV/Trailer parking.
  8. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years).
  9.  No Fishing.
  10. No personal grills allowed. No open fires. Park cooking grills available for use at beach area.
  11. No loud amplified music.
  12. Inclement Weather: Use facilities at your own risk unless otherwise directed by Park Staff.
  13. Park Fees apply to Non-Islamorada Residents
  14. Pool Fees apply to all persons entering the Ron Levy Aquatic Center (Pool area).

Failure to abide by Park Rules may result in removal from Park Property.

Breakwater and Nature Viewing Area Rules:

  1. No fishing.
  2. Stay on path/Stay off rocks/Do not climb rocks.
  3. No alcoholic beverages.
  4. No glass containers.
  5. No smoking or vaping.
  6. No littering.
  7. No bicycles, "onewheels", or motorized scooters.
  8. No tents or canopies.
  9. Dogs must be on leash; must clean up after your pet.
  10. No anchoring to rock or shoreline.
  11. Do not feed the wildlife.
  12. Beware of dangerous wildlife including American Crocodiles.
