Draft Minutes of the previous Committee Meeting (September 13, 2022) are available upon request. Send request to ifp@islamorada.fl.us.

The Parks and Recreation Citizens' Advisory Committee was established by Resolution 00-06-13 and adopted by the Village Council on June 8, 2000. In keeping with the Village's mission, which is: "to protect the residents right to quiet enjoyment of life; to plan for enhancing our "Village Character"; to preserve our community: it's people, natural resources and pride; and to provide basic services to support our quality of life"  the Village Council sought to establish a committee that would provide valuable citizen input and advisement regarding the short and long term goals of the Village's Parks and Recreation activities.
The Committee consists of ten (10) members who are appointed by Council and one staff liaison. Committee members meet quarterly at 4:00 PM and may meet more frequently if needed. The current committee is comprised of the following members:
Staff Liaison: Maria Bagiotti
Carolyn Wightman (Chair)
Lesley Rhyne (Vice Chair)
Lee Gannaway
Sharon Wampler
Alina Davis
John Weare
Claire Johnson
James Brown
