NOTICE OF FDOT PROJECT: MM 77.5 TO MM 77.7 UPDATE

Florida Department of Transportation Project Started Week Of January 3, 2022

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project the week of January 3, 2022, along Overseas Highway in Monroe County  from MM 77.5 to 77.7.

WORK TO BE PERFORMED
 - Repairing concrete elements under the bridge
- Sealing the bridge deck
- Installing additional protection for foundation footers
 

Est. Completion: Fall 2022
 
Construction Cost: $760,000
 
LENGTHS AND LIMITS
over the Lignumvitae Channel (MM 77.5 to MM 77.7)

LANE CLOSURES
Continuing Monday, August 8, between the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one northbound and one southbound lane of SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway will be intermittently closed from MM 75.0 to MM 77.0, Monday through Thursday nights, for the next four weeks for roadway paving.  During this nighttime closure, one lane will remain open at all times in each direction. Flaggers will be used to direct traffic through the work zone. Drivers might experience delays traveling through the area.
