Event: Open House for Community Input
The public is invited to join an Open House at the Plantation Tropical Nature Preserve on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 3:30-5:30 PM.
Improvements to the 3.5-acre site have been in the works since 2020. As part of the project planning process, the Village of Islamorada along with the CSA Group will be hosting an open house for the community to provide public input regarding:

 New access at 146 Sunshine Blvd.
 Gravel parking with concrete ADA handicap parking
 New ADA access
 Landscaping with native species
 Covered pavilions
About Plantation Tropical Nature Preserve
Plantation Tropical Nature Preserve is a 3.5 acre park owned by the Village of Islamorada and located in Tavernier (unincorporated Monroe County). The park is open to the public from sunrise to sunset and contains a rare segment of Rockland Hammock. Additionally, Plantation Tropical Nature Preserve is home to the Children's Memorial Garden and a butterfly garden.
Please join us between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 to provide your input on site improvements.
