The Fills Master Plan Survey and Website Launched
In order to protect public health and safety, conserve our natural and historical resources, facilitate appropriate resource-based public outdoor recreational uses and enhance our quality of life, the Village of Islamorada is carrying out a community-driven master planning process for the Fills, the area composed of Tea Table Fill, Indian Key Fill, and Lignumvitae Key Fill located between mile marker 79.6 and 77.7. This process will produce a Village Council-adopted action plan that articulates our community’s vision for the Fills and sets forth how we will bring the vision to life. Please be part of this process and part of making Islamorada an even better place to call home by participating in the public workshops and completing this survey.
Join the conversation about the Fills Master Plan. The community survey is available now. The survey questions were derived from the input received during the stakeholder meetings and the public input workshop held the first week of October. Through the survey, even more residents and business owners can provide their opinions about the aspects of the master plan that the public has identified as most important to them. A general comment section is also provided, and people may email input and questions to email@example.com. The survey will be open through November 19, 2021.
The survey is one of many opportunities for you and the entire Islamorada community to be a part of the Fills master planning effort. Your participation and input during this process will help to create the community vision for the Fills area, a vision that will be incorporated into the Master Plan and ultimately achieved through a series of future projects.
Visit the newly created project website, TheFillsMasterPlan.com to learn about the background, the master planning process and to stay up to date on progress. A link to the community survey is provided on the home page of the TheFillsMasterPlan.com website.
The next in the series of workshop and meetings will be held on December 1, 2021, at the Founders Park Community Center. Details will be publicized well in advance of the meeting. The Master Plan is slated to be finalized in April 2022.
We encourage everyone in the community to be a part of this master planning effort.
