The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) held a Public Hearing for the above referenced project on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
The proposed improvements include the widening of Florida’s Turnpike, a Turnpike ramp over the Palm Drive and US 1 intersection, a new partial interchange at Lucy Street/SW 328 Street, as well as access modifications. These improvements are being proposed to enhance safety, address year 2045 traffic needs, enhance emergency evacuation and improve accessibility and mobility.

PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENTS
This Public Hearing was conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. A letter was sent to all property owners and tenants within at least 300 feet on either side of the proposed project and to public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in the project.
