Greg Oravec Takes Oath of Office on July 1, 2021
 
At the beginning of the July 1 Village Council Meeting, Islamorada's new Village Manager, Greg Oravec, took an Oath of Office. As an officer of Islamorada, Mr. Oravec swore to support the Constitution of the United States and the State of Florida.

Village Council Selects Greg Oravec to fill the Village Manager Position
at Special Call Meeting on June 2, 2021

At a Special Call Meeting on Wednesday afternoon, the Village Council selected Gregory J. Oravec to fill the Islamorada Village Manager position. Greg, who currently serves at the Mayor of Port St. Lucie, said he was prepared to begin contract negotiations immediately for a swift transition to Islamorada. An employment agreement will be on a Village Council meeting agenda soon to formalize the engagement.
