Freebee Service Hours Changed and
Service Area Expanded to Three Tavernier Locations Near MM 91.5

Effective July 1, 2022, the service schedule for Freebee has changed.  One vehicle is now available starting at 7:00 a.m. seven (7) days per week.  The schedule including three (3) vehicles is as follows:
                    Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday                    One vehicle operates from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
                                                                                                             Two vehicles operate from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

                    Friday, Saturday                                                                  One vehicle operates from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
                                                                                                             One vehicle operates from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
                                                                                                             One vehicle operates from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Village staff will be working with Freebee to evaluate this schedule through ridership information to determine whether more vehicles need to be available starting at 7:00 a.m. and/or operating until 12:00 a.m. on additional days.  Download the app from the App Store or Google Play No smart phone? Please also remember that in response to requests from Islamorada residents to use Freebee to get to a medical appointment or to a businesses in the Tavernier Town Center the Village expanded service outside the limits of Islamorada to serve three specific locations at the south end of Tavernier. The locations are exclusively the Tavernier Town Center, the Mariners Hospital Complex and the Good Health Clinic. All rides must either begin or end in Islamorada. A Freebee rider can travel from a location in Islamorada to one of the Tavernier locations now offered and can travel back from the Tavernier location to Islamorada. Rides that both begin and end north of the Tavernier Creek Bridge are not allowed.
