Solid Waste Services

Residential and Commercial Solid Waste, Yard Waste and Recycling collection and disposal services are provided through an Agreement with Waste Management of the Florida Keys. The Residential Trash, Recycling and Yard Waste Pickup Schedule and the Residential Solid Waste Services Brochure are provided in the RELATED PAGES on the left side this page.

Four times a year, Islamorada residents may take household hazardous waste products for free disposal to a special drop off location. The household hazardous waste collection program is an effort to remove hazardous materials from the waste stream and to properly control disposal of the products. Waste disposal is available to residential customers only. For complete information and scheduled collection dates visit the Residential Hazardous Household Collection Program page.

Commercial customers are directed to contact the Waste Management local Islamorada office to coordinate solid waste services. The local office may also be contacted to report any problems or arrange for special collection services.

If you are an Islamorada resident with a disability or special needs that restrict you from being able to move your garbage container or recycling container to the curb, assistance is available. Please contact Waste Management to obtain an application form to be completed by you and your physician.
