We must remember that it is impossible to accurately predict with 100 percent certainty how sea levels will rise.
While we can conclude that sea levels are rising, the rate at which that change takes place is considered over a range of scenarios. Those ranges support the recommendations proposed in this planning effort.
As more data becomes available, recommendations may change. The continual development of better data from which to make more refined decisions is a constant theme in the plan.
There will always be some level of uncertainty associated with sea level rise planning so it needs to be proactively managed.
