ROADWAY REPAIRS AT MM 92.6 TO BE SCHEDULED

Temporary repaving of the left northbound lane of US 1 at Mile Marker 92.7 was completed following repairs to Islamorada's wastewater transmission line on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Permanent repairs will be scheduled for a future date during overnight hours to minimize traffic impacts.

The force main line transmits wastewater effluent from the Islamorada sewer system to the Key Largo Wastewater Treatment Plant. During the repairs to the transmission system, Wastewater Utility Workers addressed the Village sewer system infrastructure and there were no threats of wastewater spills at any of the facilities. Islamorada residents were asked to temporarily reduce use of water that flows into the sewer system until after the repairs were completed to reduce flows until the transmission to the Key Largo Wastewater Treatment Plant was restored.
