Islamorada offers First Aid, CPR and AED training to the community free of charge. In the interactive classes taught by Islamorada Fire Department Personnel, participants learn lifesaving First Aid and CPR skills and how to use an AED device.

The free classes are held at Fire Station 20 (MM 81.9 bayside) generally on the second Wednesday of the month. Those successfully completing a class will receive certification.

Participants must be at least 13 years old and should wear comfortable clothing to practice the techniques that will be learned during the class. Class size is limited so call soon to secure your seat or to have your name added to the list for a future class.

The December class is full. Dates for future classes will be announced soon.

To have your name placed on a list for a future class, please contact Debbie Naiser by email to fire.department@islamorada.fl.us or call 305-664-6490.

This training is open to the public. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, all persons who are disabled and who need special accommodations to participate in this training because of that disability should contact Human Resources Manager Evie Engelmeyer at 305-664-6448 or hr@islamorada.fl.us at least 48 hours before the scheduled meeting.
